Steve here.

So as some of you may know, Justin’s fitness goal for this year is to run a marathon and wants to go under 3 hours!!

Steve has been helping him with a plan and while the marathon may not be until the end of the year, Justin worked hard and changed his original goal of a marathon in May to a half marathon on April 14, 2019 at Joondalup.

If you follow us on Facebook or Instagram you’d have seen, he had a great, consistent race and finished with a PB – 1 hour 32 minutes and 42 seconds!! It’s a great result for the big lad and puts him in buoyant mood for more running. 

Justin was diligent with his program Steve set and achieved his target paces. In addition he completed some hard workouts with Valetudo Health in City Beach.

To our next runner – introducing Rachel King. Steve has been coaching Rachel on and off for several years and she is a seasoned marathon runner with some great times. Rachel went to race the London Marathon on April 28, 2019. While I’m sure the poms would have thought it was balmy (14 degrees), Rachel raced a very good race and her split times per km were consistent throughout.
Rachel finished in 3 hours 38 minutes and 30 seconds. In typical runner fashion – she was disappointed but given her lead up to the race (climbing Ben Nevis) with her family she did an amazing job.
